Tinahely Riding Club

Tinahely Riding Club was established in 1979 and is very fortunate to be one of very few clubs across Ireland to own its own grounds. The current membership stands at approximately 70 with an option to join the club or both club and the southeast region of the Association of Irish Riding Clubs. TRC members are very active within the competitive fields of show jumping, dressage, eventing and showing.

Arena Schooling & Lessons

TRC 80 x 60 meter arena is available to hire, for both members and non members, subject to availability. The arena is split into two sides, a large side primarily for jumping and the smaller side for flatwork and gymnastic work.

A full set of jumps are on site for use in the larger jumping side along with soft poles for use as distance poles or ground work. The arena can be used by multiple riders at any one time unless it has been blocked out for private clinics or other activities. Lessons are restricted to one at a time but this does not exclude other riders from using the arena to school. Please refer to our booking calendar for more information.

Cross Country Schooling & Lessons

TRC cross country course is carefully maintained and fully certified by a qualified course designer. The course is available to hire for both members and non members. TRC have included excellent obstacles for schooling horses and riders of all levels in a safe and controlled environment. Water jumps, drops, coffins, banks and rollers are just some of the great features on course. TRC hold many events through-out the year on the XC course, so come and enjoy a days schooling beforehand.

There are strict terms & conditions that apply to the use of the course, please read these carefully so that you may enjoy the facility to it’s best. All riders must wear current standard body protector and skull cap. All jumps must be jumped in the direction they are flagged. Non members and minors must be accompanied by a certified insured instructor or 3 star or higher eventer. Please refer to our booking calendar for more information.

Our aim to accommodate everyone in our fun events so all riders can enjoy the facility and atmosphere.
